solar panels for dealerships: UK commercial installation specialists

We are a commercial solar specialist working with car dealerships, showrooms and the wider leisure, retail and hospitality sector across the UK. Our work covers franchised dealer groups, independent forecourts, gyms, golf clubs, pubs, supermarkets and shopping centres, sites that share one thing in common: they use most of their electricity in daylight, which is exactly when solar generates. That overlap is what makes the numbers work, and it is why we built the business around these buildings rather than treating commercial solar as a sideline to domestic installs.

We focus on dealerships in particular because they are changing fast. The shift to electric vehicles has turned a dealership's energy bill into a strategic question rather than an overhead. Manufacturers now expect customer and demonstrator charging as a brand standard, glazed showrooms and busy workshops carry a heavy daytime load, and franchise corporate-identity rules dictate how renewables and chargers can be installed. Generic solar firms treat all of that as someone else's problem. We design to the manufacturer standard from the first drawing, pair the array with the EV charging the franchise requires, and handle the grant paperwork that brings the charger cost down.

How we work

We are independent of any panel or inverter manufacturer, so we specify the hardware that suits your roof and load rather than whatever we are tied to sell. Every proposal starts from your real data: we pull at least 12 months of half-hourly meter readings and model the system against your actual demand, including the EV-charging growth we expect over the system life. That is more work than quoting from roof area, but it is the difference between a system that self-consumes its generation and one that exports cheap power it should have used on site. You get the full set of numbers, simple payback, IRR, NPV and the levelised cost of your own generated electricity, not just the one figure that looks best.

Our engineers hold commercial-grade certification, and we carry the accreditations a serious UK installer should hold: MCS commercial certification, NICEIC registration, RECC membership and TrustMark licensing, backed by ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 for quality, environment and health and safety. The MCS certification is what keeps your install eligible for the Smart Export Guarantee, and the others are increasingly demanded by enterprise and franchisor procurement teams before they will let work start on site. Each one can be checked directly against the issuing body, and we list the verification links below rather than asking you to take our word for it.

The warranty and the after-care

Our workmanship is covered by a 10-year insurance-backed warranty, which means the cover survives even if a contractor does not, an important distinction in a sector with too many short-lived installers. On top of the workmanship cover you get the standard tier-1 manufacturer warranties on panels and inverters, typically 25 years of performance warranty on the modules. We provide annual operations and maintenance and 24/7 remote monitoring with automated underperformance alerts, and for dealer groups running multiple sites we put every location on a single dashboard showing live generation, lifetime output and CO2 saved, which doubles as evidence for ESG and franchise reporting.

Why we are different

Commercial solar has its share of firms that oversize a system, overstate the payback, and disappear once the invoice clears. We would rather walk away from a project that will not deliver than sell you one that will not. If your roof needs replacing first, if your supply needs a DNO upgrade, or if the honest payback does not justify the spend, we will tell you before you commit, not after. Most of our work comes through repeat business and referral within dealer groups, which only happens if the first install does what we said it would. That is the standard we hold ourselves to, and it is why we are happy to be measured against it.
